Chinon "La Croix Boissée" D. Bernard Baudry • 2016 • Loire Valley
Red
Fruity
Loire Valley
Why I love this Wine
La Croix Boissée comes from a hillside terroir of clay, sand and limestone. Its south-facing aspect and two years' barrel ageing give it a fine body marked by firm tannins, notes of ripe fruit and, above all, excellent cellaring potential. Please note that I only have this cuvée in limited quantities. Known for its elegant structure, deep fruit, and earthy minerality; perfect alongside rich grilled meats, especially lamb with mushrooms, which complement its tannins and aromatic complexity.
