Why I love this Wine
The 2023 Corse Sartène Blanc from Domaine Fiumicicoli is a stunning expression of Corsican Vermentinu, organically grown on sun-kissed, granite-rich hills near Sartène. After cool fermentation and eight months on lees in new oak, it pours a pale gold with green highlights. The nose unfolds with lifted white florals, grapefruit, and citrus zest, layered with subtle cinnamon and vanilla. The palate is rich yet lively; showing tangy citrus, exotic fruit, saline minerality, and bright acidity, all supported by a creamy texture and a whisper of liveliness. A superb choice alongside seafood pasta, Mediterranean stews, or local sheep cheeses.
