Domaine Berthenet’s 2022 Montagny 1er Cru “Vieilles Vignes” is a vibrant Premier Cru Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise. Made from ancient vines, fermented in a mix of oak and steel, and aged with 30% new oak, this wine uniquely balances richness and freshness. Bright aromas of lime, jasmine, and grapefruit intertwine with brioche and subtle oak. On the palate, it reveals creamy texture supported by lively citrus, saline minerality, and a crisp lemon-tinged finish. Elegant and expressive, it’s a beautiful match for foie gras, shellfish, creamy poultry dishes, or tangy cheeses.
