Saint-Chinian "Maghani" Domaine Canet-Valette • 2015 • Languedoc
This cuvée is aged for 36 months, including 24 months in barrels for 50% of the wine. Bottled without fining or filtration. Maghani is a powerful wine with fine tannins, suitable for aging (20 years?). When young, it has flavors of red fruit, chocolate, and peony, which then evolve into more complex notes of morello cherry, spices, and blond tobacco. Enjoy with game, woodcock, roasted goose with spices, and candied fruit.
