The 2023 "Les Pins" from Domaine Bernard Gripa is a refined, fresh white from the northern Rhône Valley, crafted on a terroir of clay–calcareous topsoil and granite subsoil. It displays a pale golden robe, followed by a fine aromatic profilefeaturing white fruits (peach, pear), white flowers, and delicate spice; notably verbena, white pepper, and soft vanilla tones from barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is silky and generous, with a vibrant mineral freshness and crisp acidity that give it lively tension and clarity. A subtle creamy texture from fine lees aging and barrel elevates the experience, and it finishes with pronounced mineral persistence. Vinified traditionally with slow pressing, light settling, fermentation in a mix of stainless steel and large used oak barrels, followed by fine-lees aging and occasional bâtonnage, "Les Pins" reflects both terroir and craftsmanship. Best paired with cod fish.
